Radion Velchev
Radion Velcev is a Christian leader, legal professional, and educator from the Republic of Moldova with more than 18 years of experience integrating professional practice, education, and Christian ministry in the workplace. His primary focus is equipping Christian professionals to live out their faith with integrity, responsibility, and leadership in the workplace and in society.
Radion holds a Master’s degree in Civil Law and has served for many years as a lecturer in both state and Christian higher education institutions in Moldova. His academic background and legal practice have shaped a holistic approach to ministry that connects faith, profession, and public responsibility in the workplace.
Radion’s connection with Mission Eurasia began during his participation in the “School Without Walls” program in Moldova, while he and his wife, Ulyana, were serving as youth leaders. This experience became a formative moment that clarified their calling to holistic ministry and strengthened their commitment to serving young people and professionals through innovative, workplace-oriented approaches grounded in their professional expertise.
Within his legal practice, Radion initiated several social initiatives, including a project providing free legal assistance to socially vulnerable groups in Moldova. He views the legal profession as a practical expression of Christian service, justice, and witness in the workplace.
Since 2009, Radion and his wife have led outreach initiatives in public schools aimed at preventing risky behavior among teenagers, as well as addressing human trafficking and domestic violence. This work eventually led to the establishment of the first youth center in their region in 2014, designed to help young people understand their identity, discover their calling, and develop leadership skills for life and the workplace. Through this work, they developed a sustainable model of youth ministry that serves society while forming future leaders.
Radion and Ulyana are also founders of an educational platform focused on the development of young educators for the public education system. This initiative resulted in practical recommendations submitted to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Moldova regarding elements of educational system transformation.
Radion is the author of several methodological guides and training programs on leadership development, career guidance, the theology of work, and the formation of young leaders. Through teaching, mentoring, and public speaking, he seeks to strengthen a culture of maturity, responsibility, and Christian witness in the workplace among professionals and the next generation of leaders.
Radion and his wife are raising two sons and continue to expand their ministry among Christian professionals across various workplace communities. He is actively involved in the local church “Light to the World” in Chișinău, Moldova.
