Kira copekit cardsMission Eurasia, in collaboration with "COPEKIT," has received a vital resource to support Ukrainian refugees in Poland: ambulance cards. These cards outline five concrete steps for self-help in panic, anxiety, and stress situations, making them invaluable tools for our work. We incorporate these cards into weekly sessions with Ukrainian teenagers and a Christian psychologist, where they learn to manage the trauma they have experienced.

These weekly meetings not only help Ukrainian adolescents cope with their trauma but also teach them how to apply the principles of the COPEKIT cards in their daily lives. This empowers them to overcome the challenges of adapting to a new country, school environment, and life circumstances.
One such meeting had a profound impact on a girl named Kira. Previously, she experienced intense fear when checking her homework at school, resulting in physical tremors and difficulty speaking. Thanks to the COPEKIT cards, Kira feels confident in overcoming panic attacks by following the outlined steps.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

This Christmas, Mission Eurasia is taking a significant step to support Ukrainian children impacted by trauma. In addition to our beloved Gift of Hope shoeboxes, we are partnering with COPEKIT to include their Core Skills Sets. These sets contain eight essential trauma coping skills, presented on five cards with a comprehensive training chart.

By providing these valuable tools, we are equipping Ukrainian children with the skills they need to navigate the challenges they face. And it's all thanks to your generous donation. Your support will directly fund the distribution of COPEKIT Core Skills Sets, ensuring more young people can access the support and resources they need to heal and thrive.
