On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a brutal invasion and all-out war on the peaceful nation of Ukraine.
Since then, countless innocent people living in major cities throughout Ukraine have experienced death, destruction, and devastation. Others have fled Ukraine for safety in neighboring countries, creating the largest humanitarian crisis since World War II. Today, a total of 20 million people are now displaced because of the war, which is nearly one-half of the population of Ukraine.
In response to this humanitarian disaster, Mission Eurasia is helping to provide for the urgent, immediate needs of Ukrainians still living in the country, as well as refugees from Ukraine who have fled to neighboring countries through its iCare-Ukraine program. We are working closely with national churches in Ukraine, Moldova, and Poland to provide food, medical assistance, housing, and spiritual care for the victims of the war in Ukraine.
Mission Eurasia has helped establish three refugee assistance centers—two in Poland and one in Moldova—to receive refugees at the border, provide temporary shelter, food, and assist them with finding longer-term housing. In addition, these centers provide refugees with trauma counseling, copies of Scripture, and pastoral care.
To assist Ukrainian families who are still living in Ukraine, Mission Eurasia is providing emergency family food packages that contain enough food to sustain a family of four-five for a week as well as a copy of Scripture to provide spiritual comfort and hope for these suffering families. We are also providing medical care for refugee families and trauma counseling for those severely affected by the war.
For a gift of only $50, you can:
- Provide a displaced family in Ukraine with an emergency family food package that contains enough for a family of four-five for a week and a copy of Scripture.
- Provide immediate assistance and services for a Ukrainian family at one of our three refugee assistance centers outside of Ukraine, including food, medical care, pastoral care, and help with finding temporary housing.
Thank you for your compassion for the suffering people of Ukraine!
